Woke up this morning and what did I find when i opened the front door? SNOW! Love these kind of surprises. Wasn't expecting it but it was a wonderful sight. Once I told the girls to come and look they both were trying to run out the door. I had to inform them that they weren't Eskimos and they had to have shoes and coat at least before heading out the door. After breakfast we suited up and went out to enjoy the first snow of the winter. Sure did get me in the mood for Christmas.

Santa!

When Macy got up this morning she announced that on our agenda today we were going to see Santa. I asked her who made those plans? She quickly informed me that she had this great idea and we should go see him today before winter was over cause he wouldn't know what she wanted for Christmas. I told her that we would go see him but we should wait for a day that Daddy would be able to come with us. So wouldn't you know when I tell her we wouldn't be seeing Santa today he shows up at walmart where we were shopping this morning for our weekly groceries. Both the girls just were so excited to see him that they were out of words. Until Macy decided she did remember what she wanted on her Christmas list and began rattling it off to him. Black Sand Beach

Here is Susan and I starting out our trip to Japan. This is Susans first trip out of the country that she isn't going to serve in the mission fields.

This was the view on the train as we left Tokyo heading toward Misawa. This was just a small piece of the city.

This is when Andy surprised Sharon when he got home for Korea. He wasn't due back for a few more weeks. So happy he made it back to see his daughter be born.

For all that don't know we have added a new member to the Clayton Clan. His name is Rosco and he is a 1.4lb Long Haired Chihuahua that is cute as a button. Matt surprised me with this little bundle of joy last weekend. He has been such a joy to have in our family. He already is a spoiled little dog with lots of love and toys. Thanks again my sweet hubby for such a great gift.

Macy had her first official day of school today it only was a half day but she loved it anyway. They made play dough colored and took a tour of the school. She was so well behaved she even got a sucker from her teacher. Which she thought was just about as good as it could get. Tomorrow will be her first full day so we will see how she does. Love you Big Kindergartner make Mommy proud!:)

Good Bye My Dear Sweet Abbey

Today I had to say goodbye to my first baby girl. Abbeygale Grace Clayton was born Dec 24th 2000 and Died July 5th 2010. It a very sad day for Abbey was such a sweet and loving dog and she will be greatly missed by our family. Here are some cute photos of her with Macy Lynn on the fourth of July 2006. Rest in Peace my dear sweet Abbey you are missed already.

The girls napping today. They are sooo pitiful looking.

So we just got back from Texas and while we were there both girls got sick. On Tuesday I took Zoey to the Dr. and they said she had a touch on pneumonia and that is was viral meaning it was contagious. That night Macy started with a bad cough and it kept her up all night. So I thought she had the same thing as Zoey. After a couple days they both seemed to be getting better. The next day Macy started to get worse and her poor little eyes stated to goo up with green goo. We were due to come back Monday and instead trying to take Macy to the Dr. in Texas we waited till we got home. I took them both in to the Dr. today to see if Zoey's pneumonia was gone and have Macy checked out because her cough was worse and her eyes were so yucky. The Dr.'s diagnoses was that they both have Mono. Zoey was better no more pneumonia and just has a little cough left but Macy she has a bad ear infection and eye infection on top of having mono. Please keep these sweet girls in your prayers and we hope they get well soon.

The Tooth Fairy Is Comming For A Visit

On April 8th Macy lost her first tooth. This was so exciting and a big deal to her. To me it was so precious but meant my baby is just growing to fast. Macy's tooth began to wiggle a few weeks ago and I told her she had to wait for me to get back from my trip to GA before it could fall out. The tooth obeyed orders and stayed in till just the other day. We are just having the tooth fairy come tonight because I just now found the pillow we had been given to hold the tooth. I guess we should of waited another day till the tooth fairy had some cash to put in the pillow. I hope the dollar coin the tooth fairy left will work:) Next time the tooth fairy will be more prepared. Doesn't Macy look so precious with her missing tooth in hand and sweet toothless grin.

Easter

This year the girls and I spent Easter in MO. This is the first time since Macy was born that we haven't spent it in TX. Kind of sad to break the tradition but we had a great time spending it here. The weather was unseasonable warm wich was nice for the easter egg hunt at Wardell Church that we went to on Sat. Sun day was great to wake up and hunt for the easter baskets the easter bunny brought. The girls just thought that was the neatest thing. Above are some of the photos from the egg hunt.

Today Macy askes me "Mommy where is heaven". So I told her "Macy its in the sky". She says "Is it in outer space"? I say "no its some where in between". She then asks me "Mommy how do you get to heaven"? "In a plane"? I say "no you have to die to get to heaven". Macy says "Mom when can I die and go there"? I told her I hope it wont be till your and old lady thats lived a long happy life". Macy then asks "mom when will that be". I say "only god knows when you will die and go to heaven". Macy says "ok mommy". I guess I answered her questions to her liking cause then she just walked away and went to play in her room with her sister.

So the last few months have been a bit busy with photography work. Whick has left me with little time for the blog. Now that I have finished that work up I should have a little more free time to devote to posts. I hope to have more photos of the girls for all to see soon.

Christmas

Christmas came a day early in our house this year. Glad we decided to do it a day early because Macy turned up sick christmas morning. They both had a battle with the stomach bug and Zoey had a fever a few days later. I hope that now they are well we will not have anymore sickness this winter. I guess I can only hope that it turns out that way with two small children.
Here are some pics of the girls Christmas morning eating breakfast and playing on Zoey's new toy. They realy enjoyed all the great gifts they got from everyone this year. Thanks for being so thougtful everyone. Hope all our family and friends had a great Christmas and has a wonderful New Year.

Gymnastics

I signed Macy up for gymnastics over the summer. She is so in love with it she asks almost everyday if its gymnastics day. I am amazed at all she is learning in just a 45 min class. In the class they do the uneven bars, floor, and the balance beam. She even has a girl in her class that's only five yrs old and can do a round off back handspring. Her mother said she has only been in the class for a year. Can you believe Macy could be doing that this time next year. Wow! Can't wait to see how my sweet talented girl does in her first sport.

This Halloween I took the girls to KY to trick r treat at there Grandma's (AKA Geedah)house. They had such a great time riding the golf cart from door to door. Zoey was too cute suckering each house out of all its candy. She just would take what ever she wanted and they just said she is so cute have some more. Till I would say come on cute baby lets move on to the next house. Macy was a completely different girl from last year. She wouldn't even say a word but this year she said trick or treat at every single house. She even had her buddy Ellie trick or treating with her which she just loved. By the time the night was over the girls and I were so tired. Didn't even eat much candy just headed strait for the bed. Can't wait for next year:)

Here is Macy doing the only work that was safe for her in this whole carving process. She sat and punched about 30 times and then decided it was to much like work and mom should take over from here. So I being the sweet mom I am sat for the next hour and punched and carved on the pumpkin till we got the finished product.

Beggs Family Farm

This past Saturday Meme the girls and I all went to Beggs Family Farm and pumpkin patch and spent the day. We had a picnic lunch. Then tried out the home made bounce house they had which was pretty neat. Zoey just loved to be bounced around on it. Then Macy and I did the fence maze they had and we only got lost twice and found our way out rather quickly. While others were crawling under the fence or going back to the entrance to get out because they had no clue how to get to the exit. Macy and I made a great team:) Then we tried out the horse swings that were made out of tires that looked like horses and bulls that where hung from an old pivot. Next Macy got to ride a pony and was yelling ride em cowgirl and yea haw. She was making everyone laugh. Next we went to the barrel animal ride that was hard for me to squeeze into with Zoey in my lap. My legs where squished up in the barrel and I had little room to even hold Zoey. She enjoyed it even though i was praying for it to be over. We moms endure a lot for the happiness of our children. Finaly we visited the gift shop and headed home. Thanks Meme the Pumpkin patch was a lot of fun and the girls really enjoyed it.

For the girls birthday Meme and PawPaw got them an awesome new swingset. They are so happy to have something at home so we can go out and play. The girls have been out playing on it everyday weather permitting. Thanks so much PawPaw for taking time out from the farm to put this together for the girls! We love it!

New Word

This morning while the girls and I do our morning breakfast routine. Zoey said a new word. I can't believe she is saying sissy now. I thought for sure this was a word she would take a while to say but this morning their it was. Here is a video of her after breakfast of me trying to get her to say it again she says it but not as clear as at breakfast.

Japan

Matt and I recently took a trip to Japan. We spent 11 days visisting my sister Sharon and her husband Andy. We had such a wonderful time seeing all the sights, meeting new people,and eating some great food. Thanks Sharon for showing us such a great time. We just finished celebrating Macy Lynn and Zoey Jane's birthdays. Zoey is officialy ONE today and we can't believe the year has come and gone so quickly. Zoey is walking almost every where she goes and is so precious to watch. She is happy and sweet girl. Macy is going to turn FOUR while we are in Japan. It is going to be sad not to share her birthday with her, but Meme and PawPaw will make it a special day for her I know. We would like to say thanks to everyone that made it to their party to share in their special day.

I'm busy trying to plan Zoey's first birthday and Macy's fourth birthday. I have started on the invite list and decided to post the info from that here on my blog. My sweet girls just seem to have a blast doing nothing. On my birthday we just hung out and played together. While we were in Macy's room I got a few pics of them playing and having fun. Wow! Macy and Zoey's cousins are in from Texas and we all got together and swam at Aunt Teresa's house. This was Zoey's first time in the swimming pool and she just had such a great time kicking, splashing and watching all the kids play. Macy was pretty fearless when it came to jumping off the diving board and side of the pool. If you seen her last year she wouldn't even jump in from the side of the pool because she didn't like going under water. Now it just doesn't faze her a bit. I'm so amazed by her and how much she has changed in just one year.

I love to hear Macy sing she does it all the time before she falls asleep, while she is in the car, and any other chance she gets. This is her singing the latest cute little song she has learned via Aunt Diane. She sings very well I think for a 3 year old. Who knows maybe the next American

Zoey is my weird sleeper. She sleeps with her eyes open. I caught her doing it the other day while she was napping in my bed. She has done this since birth and i find it pretty amazing that she gets any sleep with them open like this.

This was the last week of school for Macy at Ross Headstart. She had a great first year of school and loved every minute of it. She learned a lot of new things some good some bad but mostly good. For all that don't know Macy was already given the kindergarden test and scored very high. They said 40 and above for a kindergardener is good and Macy scored a 64 so we are very proud of our smart 3 year old. Hope you all enjoy the pics of the field day.

I just finished my second paying wedding gig and was it hard work. The wedding was in Feb. and I worked so hard i came down with the flu immediately after I was done with the wedding. I didn't even stay for all of the reception because I was feeling so bad. It took me till now to get threw and edit all 2000+ photos i took. So i know its been a while since my last post but a lot has happened in the past 2 months that have kept me pretty busy. Sharon has come and gone. We have had an ice storm that left our area without power for almost 2 weeks some places around here still don't have power. Matt and I got very sick with the flu. Zoey has had RSV as well as getting the flu from us. Macy Lynn just returned back to school last week because of the power being out. With all that has been going i haven't been able to think about the blog. Now that things have calmed down i hope to return to normal posting and keeping you all up to date on the goings on in our sweet little family..

Zoey is going to be 6 months old on Thursday and she is growing like a weed. She now is a whopping 19.7lbs and wearing 12 month clothing which she has now passed up her sister in sizes. Zoey is now sitting up on her own and can grab her toys without falling over. We have already had to move her up a notch on her sit and spin.

Macy is doing great in school and has made several friends. Her best friend at the moment is a little girl named Bethany and she talks about her all the time. Some how with all the sickness going around Macy has escaped the flu that all the rest of us got. Im glad that one of us didn't get it.

We have a cereal eater! Zoey got her first taste of solid food and loves it. She did a good job with her first bowl and ate like a champ. Couldn't believe how well she ate the cereal. Macy and her first cereal didn't go as well. Macy spit most of her first cerea out. I guess i have a big eater on my hands.

When it came Macy's turn she froze and said that she didn't want to see him. Macy has now learned how to put puzzles together on the computer. Her aunt Sharon has shown her how to use the computer and Macy can't get enough. Macy is only three and i never would of thought she would be online already.

We are all so excited that Aunt Sharon is here! We have been waiting for months for Sharon to get back to the states to stay with us. We all have missed her soooooo much. Last night was my first big sick experience when it comes to macy. She got sick in her bed in her hair and all over her pillows and blankets. I woke up at 1:30a.m. to feed zoe. When i got in the living room to feed her i saw macy's bedroom light was on so i went to check on her. She met me at her door with her pants around her ankels and said "Mom i spit up". I felt so sorry for this little person cause she was trying to take care of herself all on her own. I took her in the bathroom and stripped her naked and told her to go sit on the couch with a blanket. So then went and woke matt up and told him what was going on. Then asked him to strip her bed and I would do the rest. I put macy on the couch naked cause i was nursing zoey the whole time this was going on. I finished nursing zoe and put her to bed. After an hour I finaly got her and her bed cleaned up and put her back to sleep. Wow! This mom stuff is hard work!

I have been hearing from my mother n law that we needed to start a family blog so everyone knows whats going on in our little world. So today i had some free time and thought i would give this blogging thing a try. I don't know how good i will be at it or if it will stay up to date but i will give it a wirl.

Today i picked Macy up from school and her teachers informed me she was very, what was the word she used, a lively one today. I didn't know if i should take that as good or bad so i asked what she ment by that. She said Macy pocked a girl in the eye and threw some papers in the floor and when she was asked to pick them up she told the teacher no. So i asked Macy why she poked the girl in the eye and she said it was because she took her spot in line. I had to explain to her that is not the way we handle things when some takes something of ours. I then learned the only reason she picked up the papers she threw on the floor was because they threatened to tell me what she did when i picked her up.
